Laura and John met at UConn when she was a freshman and he was finishing up his fifth year. They hung out for the first time after Thanksgiving break that year, and the rest is history. They have been dating for 7 years now and will be getting married exactly 7 ½ years after John asked Laura to be his girlfriend.
These two love going to local vineyards when the weather is nice, or spending time at nearby Sasco Beach. We had hoped to visit a vineyard for their engagement session but that crazy snow fall this October (in New England) hit us out of the blue, took most of the foliage off of the trees and/or vines throughout the area, and it was a challenge trying to find some color nearby. But even without splashes of color, these two brought lots of warmth and love to the autumn photo shoot.

Thankfully, we had heard about Cranberry Park in Norwalk which has this great mansion, lots of space to roam and play, and it even had some bright yellow leaves (on ONE single tree!!!). But best of all, the bright sun was shining on that very windy day (which helped to keep our hands and noses warm) on this chilly fall afternoon.

Laura and John got engaged in April 2011 at their apartment. It was a low-key Sunday, and neither of them was expecting it to happen that way or on that very day. But sometimes when your plans aren’t going your way, the only thing that really matters is that you have the perfect person to propose to… (oh and that the ring fits too!). ;-) Can’t wait until your wedding at The Waterview this year!
