Have you heard about the Bailey girls? They are destined to be rock stars! Ok, maybe fashionistas or art critics, but definitely something creative! You see, they have the coolest parents. Their Mama is this wild child, once gothic girl with a fierce singing voice, turned amazing Mother. Their Dad is this smart as heck, computer guy, who can jam with the best of them on rock band, all while being this fantastic Father. So now, we proudly introduce their children. This is Layla. She loves her floral headbands, princesses, horses and tutus. She can sing a mean Ariel tune and crack you up at the same time. Layla is 4 and is now the proud, big sister of twin girls! Here she is showing off her baby sister, Phoebe. In the next few photos of the twins, Phoebe is in brown, and Alice is in green.

The twins are now 5 weeks old, and Layla is ready to accessorize them and make them her little playmates. The twins seem to play off of each others moods. When one is calm, the other isn’t. When one is sleeping, the other isn’t. When one is hungry, the other isn’t (well, most of the time anyway). We tried so hard just to get a few shots of them together… but they had other plans, te he. Although, it can be very challenging shooting twins, it is so worth it as you can’t help but feel like you are part of this miracle of life!!

Here are a few classic, close up portraits, so you can see the differences between the two gorgeous girls (now approaching 9 lbs)! Alice (Baby A) appears to have the smaller features and fairer skin. We think she might end up with big ‘ol blue eyes! Phoebe (Baby B) seems to have a slightly darker complexion with more prominent features. The verdict is still out who resembles Layla the most as a baby…

And, don’t babies just have the cutest little fingers and toes?! You have to capture them while you can, because pretty soon they won’t be sitting still! These tiny parts were meant for kicking, dancing, swimming and so much more!

The next few shots are of Alice. Sweet baby Alice. A resemblance to Daddy we think.

The next few photos are of Phoebe. Can you tell them apart yet? We think she looks like her beautiful Mama.

Finally, a few more of the twins together! And yes, someone is getting hungry!

Alice decided to be the quiet and content baby on this day, and Phoebe decided that being a model was hard work! Layla, of course, was just having fun and enjoying any excuse to get dressed up!

Layla is already such a great big sister! Alice and Phoebe, we can’t wait to see your little personalities develop and we are so looking forward to another photo shoot in the future. What a wonderful gift your parents have given you all, the gift of siblings. You will never be alone, you will always be loved, and something tells us that you will always be blessed with laughter in your home!

Sarah bought a few of these flowery headbands, and Miss M’s mama found the one with the feather. Hey, a girl’s gotta have her accessories! Seriously though, the headbands and hats are fantastic when your babe doesn’t have a lot of hair. (Sarah’s babes come out bald and end up with a mullet by age 2, so why not wear hats/bands if you’ve got cute ones like these?) :-)
If you’ve got to have the cream and pink beanie hat visit

And these are just some of the memories we’ve captured through the years…
David and Meg both ran 20 k around Lake Ashi; each in opposite directions, meeting briefly halfway around the lake and continuing on till the starting point where they met again joined by close friends and family for their intimate lakeside ceremony.
David and Meg chose to dress in traditional Japanese wedding Kimonos, a procedure which took over two hours with the assistance of two women to complete. Meg looked stunning, and her Kimono was just gorgeous! You don’t get to experience this everyday when shooting in the states.
You could feel the love that surrounded them, and there were children of all ages and many generations present to witness the uniting of this couple in marriage. To give you an idea of what the guests were seeing, here’s the Japanese countryside and of course, Mount Fuji. Incredible!! And, our bride and groom looked pretty good too!

Guests came from China, Australia, America, Europe, and of course throughout Japan to celebrate with the couple on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.

When your closest friends and family come together for an event like this, you need to make sure that you document all the moments and even the paparazzi in training!

As the day progressed, the more modern attire made its appearance. Meg and David looked great before, but their new elegance and beaming smiles stole the show!

Jenna’s bouquet, honoring her Daddy. The man she lost too soon, but who watches over her with the angels. On this day, he is still present to walk her down the aisle.
Some say, the eyes are the window to one’s soul. Don’t you just feel like you can see right into her soul and her huge heart?!
Jenna looked gorgeous! We loved Mark’s smile here because it is so REAL! It is full of anticipation, nervous energy and excitement! Here she comes! Jenna is escorted by her two brothers and her father’s spirit is present throughout the room…

How perfect is the “Love One Another” sign above their heads as they are exiting the church, with true JOY on their faces! And now we are off to the bride & groom portrait part of the day that took place at a local winery on the way to the reception.

You can tell there is this comfort and the feeling of “home” between these two. It is so genuine and inspiring!
You gotta love the facial expressions of everyone being themselves and having fun! And, now for the gorgeous fall inspired cake… stunning and totally unique! There were touches of this wheat decor throughout the whole reception and it was beautiful!

So, as Dawn and Giancarlo’s wedding day unfolded we had perfectly cloudy skies that morning, and we were keeping fingers crossed for no rain.
We started out with each of our subjects, Sarah with Dawn and Peter with Giancarlo, and we could already feel the emotional high. The getting ready process was simple, everyone very organized, and we were able to grab early portraits of the families and bridal parties to help move the day along. Even Dawn and Giancarlo’s pup made its debut!
We got to the church and experienced a very heartfelt sermon, one in which you can tell the Bride & Groom have history. So many stories to share and so much goodness coming from them both. Everyone you meet just gushes over these two!
Then we headed to the reception and wouldn’t you know it…RAIN! Yep, it poured. No chance of photos outside. Not even those cute, holding the umbrella ones in the misty rain…it was just way to stinkin wet. So, we had a plan. Actually, Peter had a plan! He saw this huge steel column that was a great backdrop to Dawn (D) & Giancarlo (G). You see, G’s family had worked in the PA steel industry way back when and the Foundry was built upon that very same steel. Perfect backdrop, and perfect improvise!
D & G were one of the first couples to have their reception at this new venue in Phoenixville, PA (Chester County) and I’m sure there will be many more to follow. Joan Kelly and her crew at the Foundry were phenomenal, very kind and professional.
The food stations were super yummy, and the details even more impressive! Dawn went above and beyond with her fall theme, and we chose to show you some of the adorable hand made items like their table decor, centerpieces and name tree (adorned with leaves for the guests to find their seats). They brought the outside in. On this rainy night it was perfect!
Some of our other favorite details (we see these often, but in different ways) were the wedding frames of their family. D & G’s families were an integral part of their planning and it wouldn’t have been a celebration without them and their history!
At the end of the day, all you could feel was this warmth and love surrounding them.
Maybe it was the heat of the dance floor and their non-stop DJ, or possibly the room drenched in candlelight, but I think it was mainly about the Bride & Groom and the love and kindness they share which comes right back to them ten times over.
Congrats D & G! We know that you have nothing but wonderful memories that lie ahead.

It was everything Aimee had ever dreamed of, and she had worked so hard to make sure that all of the details had come together nicely. The guys all sported their linen pants, while the girls had on a strapless navy number from J. Crew. Sunflowers and punchy pinks and purples were all throughout, and the bright colored sand stood out in the unity part of the ceremony where they brought sand from different places that are important to them… combining them to make it one.

One of the most unique details was this sign (above) that pointed in different directions to places that Aimee and Ede’s guests and family traveled from (including Brazil!), but also to the ceremony location. It was the coolest idea, and every passerby on the beach just loved it! As we strolled along the beach with the crew, we just had to grab a shot or two of Ede rockin’ his shades! And, for those of you wondering how the water felt and if everyone took their shoes off…yup, it was perfect and we all had sand in our toes at some point!
Our bride and groom were super laid back and so much in love, and we took some time to sneak away from the crowds and get some alone time for photos. Aww, I just love the rocks and romantic drama!

Heading to the reception, guests were welcomed by sea shells with names and table numbers. And then, upon finding your seat you quickly noticed the personalized frames as favors for each guest. Simple, meaningful and so touching! But even sweeter were the kids included in the day, Aimee’s niece and nephew, who stole the show a few times. ;) The lobster bake was delicious and was only better when accompanied by a cold or frosty beverage from their drink menu! And yes, those are fish in their centerpieces for guests to take home! LOVE this beachy idea!
After some celebratory shots, their guests hit the dance floor. Our bride and groom love to dance, and their reception showed just that. Everyone busted a move, and brought their Latin flavor to the dance floor, and even Aimee’s Abuela showed the young ones a thing or two. Isn’t she the cutest?!!

Aimee and Ede, we hope your life together is filled with nothing but sunny days and sand in your toes! Congrats!
