Hey Folks, there are photos coming soon we promise!  We’ve been busy meeting with brides and finalizing some wedding prep for 2010 and beyond.  Spread the word, we are booking for 2011 now!  We’ve also been attending training seminars to keep us current on trends and to prepare us for future projects.  Most recently, Sarah was chosen to participate in a non-profit charity organization that she has held dear to her heart since she first heard of it.  The work she will be doing for NILMDTS is going to be some of the hardest in her life, and she will be forever changed…

LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER WORKS WITH NON-PROFIT TO HELP HEAL GRIEVING PARENTS’ PAIN

Fairfield, CT — Area Photographer, Sarah Lehberger, has been chosen as an Affiliated Photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation. The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation’s (NILMDTS) mission is to introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the gift of professional portraiture.  We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring their child’s legacy.

At a family’s request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to your hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive and private portrait session. The organization is able to provide this service to parents suffering early infant loss from as early as 25-weeks gestation or at the discretion of medical personnel.  We believe that this opportunity should be available to all in need regardless of socio-economic status.  To this end, our entire network of photographers graciously donates their time, talents and resources to this noble service.

Sarah Lehberger will provide this service on a voluntary basis for healthcare facilities within Fairfield County. Recently, she attended a NILMDTS Certified Training Seminar in New York, NY, a full day session provided by the non-profit for its area photographers.  Photographers learn important hospital procedures, how to work with the families, what to expect, as well as discuss the meaning of our work and why it is so important.

“Each day I have the ability to touch people’s hearts and lives with my photography, and to be touched by them in return.   I understand the power of the memories that I create.  When I heard of NILMDTS on NBC’s Today Show segment back in 2008, I knew I wanted to be a part of this organization and share my gift.  I hope to bring fleeting moments of joy to the hearts of complete strangers through my remembrance photography.  I am very blessed to have two healthy children who have forever changed my life and my heart.  If I could bring some hope or healing to a family by preserving the precious memories of their baby, than maybe I have found my way to give back, said Sarah Lehberger.”  After all, there is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.
